The Arab Supreme Education Council exists to enrich, maintain and expand programs necessary to meet the Gulf countries mission of academic excellence.
The Arab Supreme Education Council was established under the Arab Supreme Education Council Act of 2002 as an autonomous statutory body to encourage and promote education on non-commercial/ non-profit basis. Since then, it has come a long way to arrange free quality education for the deserving People in Gulf at their doorsteps.
The Arab Supreme Education Council has been restructured under the Gulf Education Foundation Act-XII of 2004 for the promotion of education, specially encouraging and supporting the efforts of the private sector in providing education to Gulf and MENA memebr country, through public private partnership.
The Arab Supreme Education Council has a SR9 billion (US$2.4bn) project to be implemented over the next six years to create a skilled and work force for the future. A number of schools in Gulf have been selected for the implementation of this project. More than 400,000 teachers will be trained for the new program. In addition, this project will emphasize on extracurricular activities for the purpose of developing intellectual, creative and communicative skills.
